Zuoz in

WINTER

Wintery Zuoz

The most beautiful village in the Engadin

Winter in Zuoz is wonderful. For many, the snow-covered patrician village of Zuoz is the most beautiful village in the Engadine.

The ski resort is considered an insider tip. Zuoz is ideal for sports enthusiasts and families. And all the highlights of the Engadine are within easy reach.

The sunny slopes are suitable for beginners as well as for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Five lifts take care of transport to the next downhill skiing fun on perfectly groomed slopes.

Silent gliding

Cross-country skiing

Gliding silently through the white and untouched Engadine landscape is one of the winter highlights for many cross-country skiers. The trail from Maloja to S-Chanf is legendary and always receives lots of attention during the Engadine Ski Marathon. If you want to glide even further, we offer you more than 220 kilomentres of prepared cross-country ski trails. In the evening, three illuminated night trails are also available in St. Moritz, Pontresina and Zernez.

From the Allegra Zuoz it is just a few minutes to the Nordic Center Zuoz, which is run by our dedicated partner Willy Sport.

Pure piste fun

Ski and Snowboard

Between December and April, the Upper Engadine offers you 350 kilometres of pure piste fun, and thanks to the altitude of 1800 – 3303 metres above sea level, the ski areas are also guaranteed to have snow.

The Zuoz ski area, which you can reach within 10 minutes on foot, is ideal for young families and has 5 different lifts.

Enchanting landscape

Winter Hiking

Trudging through the snow-covered mountain landscape, past frozen lakes, legendary forests and magnificent views – that’s what we mean by winter hikes in the Engadine.

The versatile winter hiking network is up to 150 kilometres long. For young families, the St. Moritz Tourism offers paths suitable for prams. Let the landscape enchant you.

Fun for young and old

Sledging

Sledging is fun for young and old. Fortunately, all that is required is snow, a mountain and a toboggan – all things that we have in abundance.

The ski area in Zuoz offers a 1.5-kilometre sled run from the Chastlatsch chairlift. However, the best-known toboggan run is between Preda and Bergün. The 5-kilometre route overcomes 400 metres in altitude and, thanks to lighting, can be used in the evening as well. As the Albula Pass is closed in winter, the Swiss railway company Rhätische Bahn is a good choice for transport. From Samedan, the journey to Preda, where sledges can be hired, takes 12 minutes.

Impressive ice walls

Ice climbing

Every winter, imposing ice walls appear directly in the gorge outside Pontresina, which can be climbed by brave and athletic people.

Our partner Passion Ski offers ice climbing courses and escorts. Our team will be happy to assist you with the organisation and arrangement.

Mineralbad & Spa Samendan

Bathing ritual

Exploring mystical bathing worlds

Our hotel guests enjoy discounted admission to the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan.

The unique thing about this spa is that it consists of a large number of smaller bathing and steam rooms that extend over 5 floors, with an open-air pool at the very top. All rooms are decorated with colourful tiles. The sulphurous mineral water revitalises body and soul.

A one-of-a-kind bathing experience, only 15 minutes by car from the Hotel Allegra.
